
This has got to be one of my favorite projects. The strategy behind the success of the GPT Auto Expo was to create a large event comprised of a series of smaller competition oriented events relevant to the various youth sub-cultures.
When it came to targeting the urban market place, we organized what has been called by many of Toronto’s finest Street Ballers “The illest street ball tournament to hit Toronto”.
Hard work, creativity, online social networking, grassroots gurilla campaigns, and grass roots connections made it all possible.
The result was Toronto’s grimiest street ballerz tearing up the court in front 200,000 people, 1100 media outlets and hot import models in 2005 & 2006.
